What's new

New features on the site, and every change to the deadlines we track.

Site updates

  1. October 21, 2026

Pick your company, and shorter area pages

An industry researcher can now pick their company in the account page, or keep one that is not listed; on the deadline and area pages, the expected calls, untracked venues and journals sit in panels that open with one click; and a report can link to its source without typing https://.

One tour of the whole site, and a simpler assistant button

The home page now walks through everything in one scroll, from arXiv, venues and deadlines to funding, how dates are checked, the assistant and proceedings for every venue; the menu no longer shows locks, and the assistant opens in place of its button.

  3. October 13, 2026

arXiv, one topic at a time

The arXiv page opens on a tile for each topic, like Proceedings: what is trending, what is being posted, papers accepted before their proceedings, and who posts, each on its own page.

Proceedings, one topic at a time

The proceedings page opens on a tile for each topic, from acceptance rates and who publishes to research eras and authors, each on its own page, and every venue page has a tile for each of its sections, to see just that one.

    A new, quieter look

The site has a new design: a white page with one blue-violet accent taken from the logo, the Geist typeface with figures and dates in mono, pill buttons and filters, and cards with a soft shadow. Every venue, filter, tag and number is the same as before.

  6. October 11, 2026

The deadline calendar counts each venue's main deadline only

When the deadlines land now leaves out journals and their special issues and venues whose last known deadline is over a cycle old, counts the next round of a multi-round venue, and gives every area a colour and a count.

Every computer science preprint on arXiv since 1998

arXiv preprints now reach back to January 1998, when arXiv's computer science section opened: over a million preprints, year by year counts matching arXiv's own, updated each night.

Call for Papers loads about three times faster

The deadline list shows the first 60 venues, with every other one a click away (a search or filter still finds all of them), and the page carries a third of the data it did.

Research funding from Europe, the UK, Canada, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Australia and Germany

Funding and fellowships now include the European Research Council and Marie Sklodowska-Curie calls, read each night from the EU's own portal, and the main early-career programmes of UKRI, NSERC, SNSF, NWO, the ARC and the DFG, each deadline at the time its funder states.

When the next call is expected, for venues between cycles

A venue whose last call has closed now says when its next one is expected, going by its last cycle (ICML 2027: late January 2027), and each area page lists them; venue pages link to the venue's papers and acceptance rate, its area and similar venues.

A countdown to the second in the last two days

On a venue or grant page, a deadline less than two days away now counts down as a clock, hours, minutes and seconds, instead of a day rounded up; the home page shows the next verified deadlines on a departures board.

When and where each conference takes place, and how to submit

Venue pages now show the edition's dates and city, the page limit, whether review is double-blind, and the rebuttal, notification and camera-ready dates, each read off the venue's own pages and linked to where it was read. A detail a venue does not state plainly is left out.

Your starred deadlines, in your calendar and on your dashboard

Subscribe once to My starred deadlines (your account page) and every venue or grant you star appears in your calendar, with corrected dates following by themselves. The dashboard now tells you when a starred deadline is verified, corrected or moves to its next cycle, and suggests the largest venues in your research areas to star.

Clearer labels on venues, grants and fellowships

Call for Papers labels each venue conference, journal, workshop or symposium; grants and fellowships show the funder (government, industry or nonprofit), what each award is worth, how many there are and whether tuition and a stipend are covered. A verified date has a green seal, an estimated one a dashed amber circle.

Journal special issues, with their deadlines

Journals now show their open special issues, each a call for papers with its own deadline, read from the publishers' own pages (IEEE, Springer, Taylor & Francis, MDPI and Frontiers), with a countdown and a calendar feed per journal.

Paper counts for venues published in journals

SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, SIGMOD, PODS, FSE, ISSTA, CSCW and CoNEXT now count the papers their journal issues carry, so their recent years match the published figures: SIGGRAPH 2025 has 306 papers, not 132.
